Quick Home Pedicure
If your feet need a quick tidy up and they are in reasonable condition, we recommend this quick home pedicure as it’s really easy and the results are great.
This quick home pedicure is a great way to improve the look and feel of your feet in less than 10 minutes and you can do it anytime without needing an extensive pedicure kit.
Quick Home Pedicure: What you’ll need
A nail file, nail polish remover, cotton pads, foot lotion and quick dry nail polish – that’s all you’ll need for this home pedicure.
Quick Home Pedicure Steps:
Remove Nail Polish: Remove your existing nail polish using nail polish remover and cotton pads. We recommend using an acetone free polish remover as this is kinder to your nails, doesn’t smell so strong and won’t make your nails dry.
Shape Your Nails: Using a nail file (assuming your toe nails aren’t too long), file your nails starting from the middle and working your way towards the edges. File in one direction so you don’t weaken and crack your nails. If you nails are longer, use nail clippers or nail scissors to trim before filing. Filing allows you to shape your nails and smooth the edges giving your toes a more professional look.
Hydrate your feet. Using a foot lotion or moisturizer, massage into the soles and heels and the top of your feet and ankles. The massage relives tired feet, and helps to smooth rough and dry skin. If you’re using a thick lotion and you’re in a rush, wipe off any excess grease before applying nail polish.
Paint your nails. Using a cotton pad with a little nail polish remover, wipe each of your nails to remove any excess lotion or moisturizer. Fold and slip cotton pads between your toes, or use a toe separator if you have one, then apply your quick dry nail polish. Choose a polish colour that will work with your wardrobe, or use a lighter sheer colour that’s a neutral shade. Apply evenly starting with a single line down the centre of your toe nail, working your way outwards. Quick dry nail polish should dry in around 90 seconds, although we recommend leaving it as long as possible before putting your shoes on and rushing out the door.
Another Tip: If you have a shower or rinse your feet before this quick home pedicure, we recommend using a little exfoliating scrub and pumice or a foot file to remove any dry and dead skin from your feet, which helps soften the skin before you moisturize. This also helps relieve tension in your feet, makes them feel smoother and keeps them hydrated so they don’t dry out.
Quick Home Pedicure Summary:
It’s that easy to do a quick home pedicure, keeping your feet looking lovely and feeling great, and it’s quicker than going for a spa pedicure.
When you have a little more time, and you’d like to relax and enjoy a longer pedicure with a soak and a foot scrub, then we highly recommend our 30 minute Home Pedicure too.
