I was invited to partake in a free treatment at the new beauty salon, Wax in the City. It is conveniently located in Sandton City and is a members only facility.

Question by : How to make your nails grow? Do acrylics/shellac/gels or any other alternates work?
Says it all in the title really. Just want to know what will help my nails grow. They’re very weak. Had acrylics before and then gels. They grew but soon snapped off. What’s the difference between gels and shellacs? And is there any alternate ways x

I wouldn’t put those kinds of things on your nails. I would drink milk and put milk on your nails. Even lotion works.

No, acrylics/shellac/gels or any other alternates just trash your real nail while they are stuck on. This causes the real nail underneath to almost rot away as it can’t breath. If you really want to put on false nails then what you need to do is go to a professional nail spa or salon or whatever you have and get them to do it for you and they know all about it and how to do it so that your nail underneath can grow etc. DON’T do it yourself or you will have weak and problematic nails for the rest of your life if you do this the whole time. You need to put on some nail vitamins. Something like this:

I found all of these for you. Even just proper nail varnish helps and there are some vitamins that you can just put on to help and moistorise your nails. Also, when you buy hand cream, make sure you buy hand AND NAIL cream so that it can help not just your hands, but your nails too.
