Pedicure KitPedicure Kit – For Easy Home Pedicures?

Home Pedicures are easy and all you need is a simple Pedicure Kit which will give you great results and leave your feet feeling fabulous and looking great.

To create a simple pedicure kit, most of the required items are probably already in your home, and any extra items you might need as cheap to buy.

Pedicure Kit – Simple:

This contents of a simple pedicure kit are just the basic items you need for a successful home pedicure. The items listed in the more advanced Pedicure kits may save some time or make the pedicure a little easy, however the simple pedicure kit contains everything you need.

  • Nail Polish Remover or Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover – whichever type you prefer
  • Cotton Pads or Cotton Balls – Cotton pads work a little better as they don’t fray when used, but either work fine to remove your toe nail polish. You can also use cotton pads or cotton balls as toe separators to make it easier to apply nail polish to each of your toes.
  • A Footbath – something to soak your feet in
  • Epsom Salts or Bubble Bath or Soap – to add to the foot bath water to help soften your feet
  • Pumice – used to remove dead skin from the soles and heels of your feet
  • Foot Lotion or Moisturizer – used to moisturize your feet and ankles to keep the skin soft and smooth
  • Toe Nail Clippers or Nail Cutters – used to trim your toe nails
  • Nail Scissors – used to shape your toe nails. You can also use Nail scissors to trim your cuticles, but do this carefully as you don’t want to cut too close to your skin.
  • Nail File – to smooth your toe nail edges
  • Nail Polish – choose your favorite color or match to your finger nail polish for a stylish look.

That’s all you need for a home pedicure kit that will give you great results and make your feet feel fabulous and look great, without spending a fortune on pedicure accessories.

Pedicure Kit – Advanced:

If you’d like to expand your home pedicure kit, then we also recommend adding these items as and when you can:

  • Toe Separators – these are made from foam and fit snuggly between your toes, making it easier to paint your nails and less likely to damage the nails while waiting for the nail polish to dry.
  • Orange wood Sticks – used to push your cuticles back around each of your toe nails
  • Cuticle Cutters – cuticle cutters are helpful for tidying your cuticles on the sides of your toe nails keeping your nails healthy and looking good.
  • Foot Scrubs – scrubs are great for exfoliation of your lower legs, ankles and feet.
  • Foot File – these are helpful to remove dead and dry skin on the soles and heels of your feet. Pumice works just as well, although the foot file is more manoeuvrable and a little quicker.
  • Massage Oil – leaves your feet feeling wonderful after a foot soak, and you can add a few drops of oil to the foot soak to soften your skin too
  • Tennis Ball – Yes, a tennis ball! Before or after your foot soak try rolling the soles of each foot over a tennis ball for a few minutes, it helps relax and massage your foot muscles, relieves tension and makes your feet feel fabulous.
  • Heel Balm – if you have dry skin around the heel, applying heel balm can help soften the skin over time and reduce the chances of your heels cracking.
  • Callus Remover/Corn Shaver – if you suffer from either calluses or corns, then you can purchase special pedicure tools to help reduce and remedy calluses and corns. These removers are specifically designed to help with your home pedicures and to care for your feet. The Callus remover normally has two different surfaces with a metallic side used to remove the callus and the abrasive side used to soften the rough skin. The corn shaver is designed to remove the corn and we recommend starting gently with this tool, particularly when your feet are soft after soaking as it can cause some discomfort if you shave a little too deep.

Over time you can add some or all of these additional items to your Pedicure kit, and you’ll have everything you need to keep your feet in fantastic condition, looking lovely and feeling good.
