A Noblesville woman says a trip to the spa with her daughters ended with a serious infection and a long stay at the hospital. Jennifer White said she got the pedicure nearly two weeks ago at “Nails and Lounge” in Noblesville. Over the next two days, White said she noticed her foot start swelling and turning purple and decided to go to the emergency room. She was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday with a severe infection and she’s been there for nearly a week. “I was worried I could possibly lose my toe. I could lose my foot,” said White. “I’m out of work … all for that 35 minutes of getting a pedicure.” White says the doctors tell her that the scrapings on her foot probably caused a small incision which allowed an infection to enter her foot.

Woman claims she got a serious foot infection after pedicure at a Noblesville spa

She’s a fraud she’s just dirty and try to blame it on them
Not gonna lie, when I first saw the thumbnail, I thought the woman had developed RSD/CRPS. It’s happened after ingrown nails before, so theoretically possible. I’m glad as fuck for her that it wasn’t CRPS but rather an infection. I know it was a very serious infection, but it’s something treatable and far less likely to lead to serious, long term consequences.
Brown recluse spider bite
LMFAO
sounds very sketchy
her toes nails are fine, that scratch on her feet, who the hell knows what she did at home on her own time. don't blame on all nails salons that something doesn't make sense
as a nail tech, we only deal with the nails not the feet
srogsr, correct. Looks loike she had a cut or blister and didn't take care of it. What a sow.
sorry she got an infection…but why do women think they have to bring their daughters to these places to be pampered when teenagers are already pampered and spoiled in a lot of cases. I hate to see some little woman at the feet of these people who are probably just spoiled rich people. the people that need to be pampered are the hard working women who cant afford this kind of treatment.
And the woman just said the magic word Bleach! For proper pedicure chair disinfecting you need to fill the basin with water and detergent and scrub, then drain, rinse fill again and swirl an appropriate amount of BARBICIDE Which is a Germicide, Fungicide, Virucide and Pseudomonacide, Bleach is not gonna cut it! In fact if state licensers were doing their jobs effectively they would have written them a shot for improper sanitation. Also the spa has to Autoclave their tools (heat sterilize) to kill everything nasty on them
There is no proof that the infection came from the nail salon. This is so irresponsible of the media to air this story, as if the nail salon was and is the cause of this lady's infection. I feel bad for the customer, but I also think it's unfair to put the nail salon on blast for something that probably wasn't their fault.
What kind of actual background investigation was done before this story was put on the air? As srogsr mentioned, it's not at all in the location of a pedicure and I have personally been to this establishment. It's one of the nicest, most clean spas in the city! And I don't know of ANY pedicure that doesn't include the things you've claimed are illegal in this state. So if that's truly the case, someone hasn't been doing their job for some time.
The location of the sore doesn't look like it has anything to do with a pedicure.
