I was invited to partake in a free treatment at the new beauty salon, Wax in the City. It is conveniently located in Sandton City and is a members only facility.

hi, can anyone give me advice on how to become a nail technician and how much i should be looking to train?

What qualifications are recognised as there are loads of courses on the web but i can’t work out which ones are for real!?

any advice welcome as i really don’t know where to begin! I want to be a part time mobile technician so need to do evening/weekend courses really. Is there ok/good money potentially in this?

In the UK before you start training you need to have the manicure and pedicure unit of S/NVQ 2 Beauty Therapy. You can just do that unit if your not interested in the rest of that qualification. Most community colleges do nail technician courses in the evening and some beauty schools and salon supply stores do condensed courses over a peroid of a few days but this usually costs more.
