In today’s tutorial, you will learn how to deep clean your toenails and give a pedicure at home to give yourself ingrown toenail relief. People often confuse pain on the sides of the toes as ingrown toenails but often times you just need a deep toe nails cleaning to remove all the buildup skin to give relief. And I am going to show you how to do that so stay tuned.

As you can see my client’s nail has gotten quite long and due to her condition of lymphedema her toes are very swollen, that combined with the pressure from the excess skin buildup around her toes it is pretty uncomfortable.

From what I have been hearing in the comment section of my videos is the majority of people who are looking for help for conditions like this can’t find it. Or maybe you are taking care of a parent or loved one and want to care for them at home. In this clients case, her nail technician moved away so I pretty lucky to have the pleasure of taking care of her nails now.

Before I attempt to trim her toe nails her feet have been soaking in a warm foot bath with a foot soak that contains natural antimicrobial ingredients to help soften the nails and sanitize her feet. Adding the cuticle remover to nails also helps soften them so it is easier to trim them. I am using the toenail nippers that come in the pedicure kit on my online store.

I am using the meticulous manicurist stainless steel file to smooth and shape the edges of the nails, this file is easy to care for at home and in the next few weeks I will be uploading a tutorial on how to take care of all your tools so there is no cross-contamination between members of your household.

People use other methods to give pedicures but personally, I could not give a pedicure without soaking the feet first. When first looking at someone’s feet there is no way to tell how much excess skin is around their toes, under the nails, or embedded in the sidewalls. Here I am using the stainless steel cuticle pusher that comes in the pedicure kit to remove the first layer when you want a deep cleaning you are going to put your foot back in the footbath so more of the excess skin can come off.

Use a towel to rub the end of the toes so you know what skin is still attached.

I am using the Nail Mycosis solution before I use the ceramic cross cut fine/med bit to keep the dust down while I thin her nails.

I want to thank all my clients who allow me to share their real-life story with the world and demonstrate real situations for real learning to help other people who are dealing with similar situations. I appreciate you so much! And this channel wouldn’t be possible without you!

With all this deep nail cleaning she should great relief from what she thought was ingrown nails and I hope you can use the same methods at home if you are unable to find a tech in your area to help you.

Our feet are sometimes the last thing we think of to give regular maintenance too, but they are going to be the first to let you know when you are uncomfortable so let’s prevent the toe pain and keep our toenails cared for on a regular basis. 3. EvaMariaLotte says:

Why do these toe nails look so unhealthy? The first woman obviously wears too tight shoes! Well, the others too… You can see it from the shape of their toes… There was one that looked pretty healthy thought… the blue one. But it had – justlike the other ones – problems with wrong treatment. Why do people do that?

  24. Lily Coralie says:

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Three weeks ago I visited my 65yo aunt who lives in the countryside, 2 hours away from me. She's sick and cannot get out of her house for various reasons. She doesn't have enough money to call a nail technician over so I went with my tools and what I have learned from you and took care of her feet. She hadn't received proper care for a year, she had lots of dead skin and long crooked nails. I'm not a professional, I spent a good hour and a half but in the end, she had impeccable feet. The smile on her face was so worth it! She has weak immune system so knowing I've helped preventing infection is the greatest feeling. Again, thank you!!!!!!

  25. I love this channel I’m now ubsest I’ve literally watched all of your videos

  35. Debra Rowlands says:

I can certainly relate to different toes now. My feet used to look nice. Then developed hammer toes and had surgery on the middle three on both feet. Now they look awful. The joint on several have slipped sideways and they look horrid. I'm embarrassed to wear sandals now.
