It can be possible to shower in the same timespan but be careful it isnt done in a 5 hr or less timespan to be safe. If you have french or nail art and or airbrushing wait longer.
If your polish “flakes off” then thats a sign to you that the place you go to either has a cheap basecoat and or top coat plus old nailpolish, cheap polish or thins out there polish to the point that it is too watered down with nail polish remover.

As a general rule a pedicure should not chip off if you arent on a beach or similar surroundings. A quality pedicure using a good base coat and top coat as well as polish should last up to one month, yes that also includes a french.

From my experiance in professional polish brands most used in salons are as follows:
O*P*I – (my Fav) been around for over 25 yrs and still going strong best pro polish around
Essie- was better yrs ago seems to be losing touch with quality control and in color selection over the yrs)
Forsythe – very thick polish not a long shelf life
Duri – private label known in russian salons good color selection and quality product
Chi- new on the market lets see how they last company known for pro- hair products
Dante – private label known in asian salons good color selection but needs to stop being chalky and hard to paint w/o getting brushstrokes lines on nails
Elisabeth Arden – Name thats all they have sry:(
Channel- love black satin but polish doesnt last, chips easily
“Seche Vite ” Are a good company there Base coat and Topcoat are good products to use to make your polish last longer

No it shouldn’t do not at all, when you have a shower water hardly comes into contact with the top of your feet and if so it’s only little splashes, however a bath would be more harmful as your actually soaking your feet then.
