Question by Damson W: What colour nail polish would compliment my dress?
The dress is midnight blue, my shoes and accessories are silver, my hair is blonde, my eyes are blue, my skin is fair and the event I’m going to is very formal. I’m getting a manicure and pedicure done on the day (Friday) and I’m wondering what colour would look best. I’m thinking I should get the same done on my fingers and toes.

How about leaving them clear?
You don’t want to look too ott

Personally, I think a French manicure is more sophisticated than coloured polish, but then again, a deep blue could look quite cool – depends whether you’re going for fashionable and young or trying to impress the formal older people…

midnight blue to match your dress
or you could just get a french manicure done. no fancy colour, just nice looking nails
Maybe Midnight blue.
pale pink..
Black is always a safe bet but personally I think red would look lovely and set off the outfit just nicely I have very blonde hair also and wear red all the time it goes nice with most things.
Good luck
pink & blue go quite well ๐

In my opinion, the periwinkle looks better but whatever you decide is up to you!

A light beige colour, silver or pale pink or pale beige.
Love,

I hope you look beautiful.
Franch Manicure or a natural shade polish.
I’m not sure about any of that, to be honest. Depends if your blonde hair is natural or not, it might be, I’m just saying cos alot of girl have dark skin and die it blonde so the skin tone doens’t go. Anyway I’d stay away from silver with your colouring and go for golds. Do not where anything dark as it will wash you out and make you look pale. Peach, oranges are easy for fair girls with blonde hair. Stay away from white, choose ivory or cream over white always. Not being able to see a picture or anything I can’t say for certain but it sounds like you have blue spring colouring, so midnight blue I’m not sure will work, light true blue or periwinkle blue would work, or possibly navy, midnight would wash you out. Teal blue, pastel sea blues or mint would also work, any sort of bluey green. That’s if you want blue, if you want red, orangey reds are best. For yellows go for pastel yellows (avoid lemon). Your best colours will be peach, apricot, coral, salmon, warm pink (the pinks with yellow in them, definitly not fusia or cool pink). I am guessing a little here but go for a peach dress with gold shoes and gold accessories, avoid silver unless you really like it, then go for a red orangey type nail polish. You have to play to your natural beauty and your blonde hair/skin tone, I always think it’s harder for fair blondes because the media and the high street cater for winters alot more but when a fair blonde where the correct colours it looks alot better and more unique.
u should go wit black wit flowers color silver I think dats gonna look good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
go for something very natural or a french manicure try to stay away from dark colours or bright colours as it could be too much a nice natural skin tone colour or french manicure and definitely put the same colours on toes and feet
im a beautician and that’s what i would advise one of clients to do enjoy your event have a lovely time
I think a french manicure. On your toes you could have the tips done midnight blue to complement your dress, but I would leave your fingers with the typical white tips. Or you can do a crescent manicure on your fingers, which has the white part being your crescent rather than your tips…..almost like a backwards french manicure. And it would be much different than any of the other girls (look at jessica biels nails in this months glamour magazine to see what it looks like).
You should just get a french manicure because ue would look classy and sophisticated. Since it’s a formal event you probably shouldn’t paint your nails any bright colors because it would ruin the elegance of your dress.
