Question by annakin-sywalker: Is a nail technition a good profession?
Hi, I am about to enrol in a course that’s going to cost me around 200/300 pounds to do and it is to train as a nail technician. I would really like to do this but I would like to hear from other nail technicians and beauty therapists to tell me if this is a good thing to do, am i wasting my time? will i make more money than i am earning now? (minimum wage) I want to have a profession somewhere in the beauty industry.

ive just currently finished doing the same thing i think its a good proffesion to work in but if your looking to work in the beauty industrey i think that make up is a better job to work in it can get you futher and can earn you alot more money if your doing it in college i suggest you take up beauty threapy it lets you acsses alot more in the beaty industry.

being a nail tech is a great career you can work in a salon or specialize as a mobile nail tech and charge a premium for doing in home treatments the industry is constantly evolving while false nails will always be in favour new innovations such as nail wraps crackle top coats and gelicures (gel polish mani/pedicures applies like nail polish lasts like gel and soaks off) are fast becoming popular alternatives to false nails and customers are willing to pay more for them
