Question by Lucy: How do I become a Nail Technician?
I am 26 years old and would like to begin a career. I would like to become a Nail Technician but I am unsure of how to begin. Any advice would be Fantastic.

You will need to do a manicure and pedicure course.
After that then you can go on to do acrylic/gel nails.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), becoming a nail technician requires being trained through a cosmetology program approved by the state. The process is not time consuming and boring and on the other hand the courses are available at reasonable rates. The training takes anywhere between 300 to 500 hours depending upon the path opted for.
Approved training programs can be found through community colleges and usually result in an associate degree or career certificate. After completing their training program, students must pass a state licensing exam. Licensure is required for employment as a nail technician by all 50 states, except for Connecticut, as reported by the BLS.
