Pedicures Q&A: I’ve never had a professional pedicure before? Help on what they actually do?

Question by “Q”: I’ve never had a professional pedicure before? Help on what they actually do?
Should I go in with my toe nail polish off or do they take it off? Do they trim your toe nails or should I do this at home? Also, I want a foot massage! Do they always do this or just basically soak your feet & polish toe nails? I am willing to pay more to get a decent one. Thanks.

Depending on the norm of your area, there may be slight variations.
You can leave it on…Yes they trim your nails, however much you tell them.
Foot massage is not included but you can ask,and they’ll probably have you one right away.
Or you can call them up and tell them to cook you in for one straight after the pedicure.

Cheers.

  1. Having a pedicure is a nice treat. I go to salon that has these massage chairs you sit in while they clean and scrub your feet. They cut down your toenails and remove cuticles. They use a scrapper to remove excess dead skin off your feet. Then they rub your legs with lotion and hot oil. The whole time remember you are sitting in a massage chair. They allow you to pick a color and paint your toenails. Then you let them dry, I love going for a pedicure. Have not been in a while. The cost is generally $ 20-30 dollars depending on the type of pedicure you choose.
